I just got diagnosed with reactive hypoglycemia. Blah! Now I have to follow lots of dietary restrictions to get things sorted out. On the bright side, I can control what I eat and prevent myself from getting diabetes, it will probably fix my IBS, I won't be so tired, and I'll finally be able to gain some weight. On the dark, and disappointing side, I have to give up sweets, and pretty much all of the carby foods I love. I want my cinnamon rolls, and brownies, and key lime pie. At least most Mexican and Asian cuisine is open to me.
My sister is enjoying my misery. She is an extremely creative cook, who avidly supports healthy living and a high protein diet, which is what I am basically allowed to eat. She has gotten all sorts of plans for cauliflower crust pizza, and almond flour everything, and black bean brownies. Maybe she can find an alternative for cinnamon rolls? I thought drawing a cinnamon roll might help me feel better, but now my craving is worse.
